Dear talented photographers,

As I've said, our exhibition is being brought forward this year to the
middle of this term, so we need to select our best pictures to show. As
with the previous years, there is no particular theme, just the very best
images you have. At our meeting on tuesday, we decided that it would be a
good idea to open a few exhibition places to members of Queens who aren't
photosoc members but may nevertheless have some excellent pictures. This
will help to publicise the society as well as being a nice thing to do. I
will send out an email to the JCR to have it put in the newsletter.

How does Saturday the 2nd of Feb sound for a next meeting? 2pm in the bar?
Or would a weekday evening be better? PLEASE do let me know asap which
would be better as it's important that as many of you can make it - it will
involve bringing and judging pictures. And I need to send out that email to
the JCR asap. I will go with the majority preference.

We also have a tentative comittee who are thinking of running things,
Matthew Dingley as Mr. President, and Lizzie Robinson as Secretary. The
post of Treasurer is open and needing a taker. These positions can be just
a formality or as serious as you want, but really aren't that much work,
indeed I have found it to be a rewarding experience, and I'm all three
rolled into one big fat dictator :) Please let me know if you are keen or
even just interested. There is a Creative Arts Comittee meeting on the 8th,
which involves the President of QCPS, and other creative types, having
lunch with the President of College, so it would be nice, but not
essential, if things are sorted by then. The sandwiches are really
excellent!

It was decided at our little meeting that it's time to spend the £130 we
have in the bank on a printer for all to use as so much work is digital. I
will try to squeeze a bit more money out of College to make this an A3 one,
they are very useful and worth the extra. I will do this as my name is on
the account and it's a bitch to change.

Sorry this has, yet agian, gone on a bit, do let me know about timings.

Oliver
