[omniORB] Compiling w/ -g

I'm using a copy of the echo directory for my first prototype.
Where do I set the '-g' flag for debugging?  I've reversed walked
the directory tree but I don't see where the compile options are
being set. I'm using Linux Slackware 3.5.
