Oh and something I missed off - I'm thinking of buying the society an
automatic flash which should be compatible with most cameras. Although
they're fairly basic its a great way to try out using an external flash
and they're not too expensive. I'm looking at buying this one (or
something similar) within the next week -

so let me know your thoughts on whether its worth it or if you can
recommend one.
I've also included an email from "'The Cambridge Student', one of
Cambridge's most prestigious publishing channels" about opportunities to
take photos of theatre shows below.
Matt
Hello! I am the Theatre Editor for "The Cambridge Student", one of
Cambridge's most prestigious publishing channels. I write to you with
news of a thrilling opportunities for Cambridge photographers:
"The Cambridge Student", perhaps Cambridge's best-loved student
newspaper, is searching for new photographic talent to fill its theatre
pages! As one of Cambridge's top photographers, we want you to come and
capture the atmosphere of the hottest shows in Cambridge this term. It
needn't be a huge commitment - we will happily consider requests for
commissions on a one-off basis.
In return, we can offer you a golden opportunity to get your work seen
by literally tens of thousands of individuals across the city. The
Theatre section is the first place many people turn to and so your work
(fully credited, of course) will get noticed instantly. We may even be
able to offer complementary tickets for some shows this term!
Any photographers interested should contact Will Wadsworth, the TCS
Theatre Editor, at ww267 at cam.ac.uk without delay!
I look forward to a flood of interest from your members - and maybe even
yourself!
Many thanks,
Will Wadsworth
TCS Theatre Editor
