[omniORB] Persistent failure

After I deleted some files when omniORB was running, whenever I use it
again I get

omniORB.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE:
CORBA.COMM_FAILURE(omniORB.COMM_FAILURE_WaitingForReply,
CORBA.COMPLETED_MAYBE)

This occurs even after rebooting Ubuntu. Any ideas for fixing the system?
