[omniORB] Installation problem with OmniOrb 4.0 64 bit and Solaris 8

Hi Nishant,

Thanks for you reply. I am glad to hear I am not the only one trying to
build 4.0 64 bit on Solaris. I have a couple of questions:

1. Which make files did you change to accomplish this?
2. I "debugged" the coredump and it seems to happen in a strcpy. The only
place where I could find that I needed to make changes for 64 bit (except
for makefiles) was CORBA_sysdep_trad.h and defines SIZEOF_LONG = 8 and
SIZEOF_PTR = 8. Is this correct?
3. Are there are any other steps that needs to be performed to build in 64
bit mode?

Hi Niklas,
           I was also getting exactly the same problem. Solution to this
is, I
don't know whether this is a perfect one, to compile omnicpp without the
options -xtarget=ultra -xarch=v9.
I am able to build the libraries by doing the same.
