Hi Ram, If i remember correctly, the orb does not actually have to establish a connection to the remote object, before it needs to invoke an operation on it, which it certainly will first time, you try to _narrow the reference. It would be very helpfull if you could turn up the traceLevel to see, what is going on. Yours sincerely, Bjorn
