Hello, my name is Carlos Garcia, I'm a student of computer
engineering at the Universidad Simon Bolivar in Caracas-Venezuela.

Now I'm instaling omniORB2 for linux in a LAN and have a problem running
the COS Naming service, the service run well, but when I run any
example as the echo example (eg3_impl.cc in the
/omniORB_2.5.0/src/examples/echo) I have problems.

This example requires the COS Naming service running in an specific port.
The messages showed when I initialized this service are:

$ omniNames -start 2057 (this program run well)
the program return:
Sun Jul 5 12:27:01 1998:

Starting omniNames for the first time.
Wrote initial log file.
Read log file successfully.
Root context is IOR:01f7ffbf2800000049444c3a6f6d672e6f72672f436f734e616d696e672f4e616d696e67436f6e746578743a312e3000010000000000000028000000010100000e0000003135392e39302e31302e3130370009080c000000359fa9558f363e9d00000001
Checkpointing Phase 1: Prepare.

Sun Jul 5 12:27:02 1998:

Checkpointing Phase 2: Commit.
Checkpointing completed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
but when I run the example
$ eg3_impl
the program return: IOT trap/Abort

If anybody have any idea or suggestion about what the problem could
be, I would apreciate any help that you can give me.

thanks in advance...
