[QueensPhoto] Update

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've been a bit quiet recently. I just wanted to give you an
update about various things to do with the photography society. Firstly
(and quite urgently), I'm still looking for someone who knows how to use
a darkroom (apparently they're harder to find than I thought) to give a
short workshop to everyone who's interested. If you happen to know a few
things about developing film (or if you know someone who does) and can
maybe spend a couple of hours sometime showing a small group of people
how it all works, please get in contact with me as it would be really
good to train people up ASAP.

Secondly, it would be great to have a couple of photo taking sessions
sometime before the end of term and I was thinking along the lines of a
portrait and a night photography session. I should have some news about
the portrait session in the next few days (there's quite a few things to
plan). Unfortunately, the weather seems like it's set to be pretty
rubbish for the foreseeable future so maybe it might be best to wait a
couple of weeks to do the night photography session. The way I'd expect
it to work is if we agree 2 or 3 evenings to keep free, then on the
first day when the weather's at its best we can meet up just before dusk
with as many tripods as possible and go out and take photos.

Other than that, please don't forget the A3 printer (stocked with ink,
A4 and A3 satin paper) is in my room for anyone in the society to use.
Just give me an email if there's anything you want to print out to let
me know when you want to come round. Also, since the weather is pretty
rubbish at the moment, I thought it might be good to have a bit of a
photo challenge. Get out with your camera sometime in the next couple of
weeks and get some photos along the theme of rain (or if it miraculously
ends up all sunny, just general weather). We can get together again in a
few weekends time and share the result.

Matt
