Hello everyone, welcome back! I hope you've all had a good break.
Term has started and it's time we did something, so to that end we shall
have our first meeting on Sunday 12th Feb. at 2pm in Queens' bar. I shall
try to get a more permanent venue soon and let you know, but for now it's
the bar, which should be nice and quiet at that time. I'm hoping this will
be a good time as far as studies go too...
As I said last term, I think it would be good if we all brought some
pictures to share and dicuss, and thereby learn from each other. Lets make
the topic WATER. There's plenty of it around in Cambridge, so go out with
the camera and see what you can find. Think of the ways 'water' can be
interpreted, you may want to look at reflections, patterns, it's
relationship with light, things IN water, the way it moves (try using a
slow shutter speed if your camera allows it, or even a fast one to freeze
motion) and bring the results along to show. You can also bring shots you
have already taken or pictures from magazines which you particularly like,
they all have something to say.
Good luck, have fun! Let's look forward to seeing some stunning pictures in
two weeks' time!
Very best wishes, Oliver
