I think the fix was just in src/lib/omniORB2/orbcore/strand.cc. Doing a
diff between the omni2_8_develop and omni3_develop branch tags should
show you what changed. I guess there might be some header changes too.

The transport code in omniORB 3.0 was almost identical to that in 2.8,
so you ought to be able to largely lift the code from 3.0 and put it in
2.8.
