[omniORB] Omniorb 2.8 and Channels

Hi,
 does anyone know how omniorb 2.8 handles a synchronous remote call when
all strands in a rope are in use?

Does it wait for the next free strand and chooses that or does it choose
a strand and waits until it becomes free?
