Hi everybody,

I have a server that has been developped in C++ and uses omniORB 3.0.4. I
have a GUI client written in java 1.3 using the java embedded ORB. My client
sends to the server a reference to an interface it implements (to receive
some notifications from it).
The very first time the server has to contact the client (either by calling
a method defined in the IDL, or by calling the _remote_non_existent() method
of omniObjRef), it takes a very long time to complete (from 5 to 10 s), as
if the two ORB have difficulties to establish communication.

Does any of you had some problems like this ?
How did you resolve this ?

Bye,
Thomas
