Hi all,

i know this topic was on this list for several times, but i found no
working solution.

1) The gdb delivered with RedHat 6.1 crashs on the beginning of
debugging our omniORB application

I've tried the following newer gdb versions:

a) gdb-4.17.0.14-1.i386.rpm from
ftp://ftp.varesearch.com/pub/support/hjl/gdb/

b) gdb-4.18-6.i386.rpm from http://people.redhat.com/kingdon/

both seems to include the same patch and works better, but they are
still crashing at a call of
omniORB::idleConnectionScanPeriod(omniORB::idleIncoming,
ITC_INSCAN_PERIOD);
wherein some threads are created.

A strange thing is that i could debug with these gdb versions on a
debian linux installation.

So i checked the libraries dynamically used by gdb, but they seem to be
the same on both linux installation.

Has anyone a solution or hint ?

Many thanks in advance

Kai Benndorf
