[omniORB] Status of OmniORB

Hi all.

I've been using OmniORB for many months now. I find it fast and fairly 
reliable.

I'd like to see the software continue to mature and there are vague
indications on the web page and in the mailing list that this is
happening. It would be great if there is some sort of a status page or 
message that indicates what is currently happening with the
product. I'm looking forward to a number of features but I can't tell
whether any of these are being worked on. Can anyone tell me what
new features will be in the next version?

Some that I'd be interested in seeing are ...

- POA
- wchar/wstring
- Interoperable Naming Service


Also, perhaps someone in this group can answer a CORBA spec question
that I have. Now that ISO C++ is finalized and there exists
standardized string/wstring classes, are there any plans on updating
the CORBA/C++ mapping to use them?
