Hello again photographers, and welcome to those of you who've just joined the mailing list,

If you only signed up to get the chocolate at the squash, then shame on you. If not, then read on for exciting photographic opportunities:

1) Don't know an F-stop from a bus stop?
Never fear (unless you're going anywhere by bus soon): we're going to have some Photography Workshops this term run by a real photographer who knows what he's doing! If you're interested in either figure photography or the basics of darkroom film developing, email me (rjl71@cam.ac.uk) to tell me which of these tickles your fancy, and I'll try my best to oblige. And arrange a workshop.

2) We've got an exciting new competition for people to design the Catering
& Conference department's corporate Christmas
card this year. There will be a REAL prize, rather than just getting
your photo printed. Not giving it away (until it's won, that is), the prize will probably be
something nice stored in a glass vessel, and it isn't a ship in a
bottle: that would be a vessel stored in something glass. The deadline
for this one is Saturday October 30th.

3) Anyone who had their picture printed for the summer exhibition in the
buttery, come to the buttery on Tuesday at 4pm to get your picture to
keep. We have to take the photos down until next time, so please come
and help us to take down the frames, and you can have your very own
lovely A1-sized photo!

4) After all that fuss I made last term about the bar photos, I am going to finally change them! There will be a new competition based on the theme of 'Autumn': if you have any good photos lying around, email them to me at rjl71@cam.ac.uk before Sunday 24th October and they will be considered for the exhibition. This is your chance to have a good picture printed out for you to keep once the bar is done with them, so get snapping.

Also, if one of the current pictures is yours and you want the photo back, just email me to let me know.

That is all: dismissed.
