The freshers fair was really successful with <b>37</b> people signing
up and thank you Lizzie for helping out with the stand! Presuming a lot
of people will decide not to join us, there should still be quite a few
new members to welcome which is always good news. <br>
<br>
We've also got a lot to discuss at the next meeting:<br>

<ul>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">I've got a meeting with
Cat in a few minutes to sort out putting photos up in the bar so
hopefully I should have something to report</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">I've also got another
meeting with the Secretary of PhoCUS sometime this weekend and they're
very keen on getting college societies more active and talking to each
other so we might benefit from things like workshops for our new
members etc.</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">PhoCUS is also getting
colleges to contribute to an intercollegiate exhibition to celebrate
the university's 800th anniversary and there are funds available to
help out so we might be able to use this as a chance to bring the
Queens' in pictures project we discussed last year back to life.</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Generally how to manage
the society and its resources as it grows</font></li>
<li><font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">What our priorities are
over the next year and the budget we need to achieve this</font></li>
</ul>
<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Hopefully as many people as
possible can make it <b>this Sunday at 4:30</b> (I'm afraid I'm tied
up all of the following weekend and we need to decide on a budget ASAP)
- we really need everyone to help decide the direction of the society.
Meet up in the JCR room (the one with the TV and lift next to the
entrance to the buttery incase anyone doesn't know) and I'll invite all
the freshers to come along as well.<br>
