<font face="Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif">Hi again,<br>
<br>
Sorry about another email but just remembered about an exhibition Oli
mentioned and thought some of you might be interested in going down to
see it some time. The details about the related compeition are below
and information about the event is at <a
href="http://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/news/article/default.aspx?objid=43928">http://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/news/article/default.aspx?objid=43928</a>
but if there is a good time for everyone to head over to the New Museum
Site it would be good to do a group trip. How about next Tuesday after
lunch?<br>
<br>
Just incase anyone didn't see it in the JCR Newsletter, I've also
copied the information about an open exhibition that Phocus is
organising with entries allowed until Monday 28th April. It would be
good to have a strong entry from Queens members and hopefully we should
have the printer sorted out by the end of term for everyone to print
their entries on. Whilst we're on the subject of competitions the
closing date for the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year
competition (<a
href="http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/temporary-exhibitions/wpy-entry/">http://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit-us/whats-on/temporary-exhibitions/wpy-entry/</a>)
is at the end of March if anyone feels they have any photos suitable to
enter.<br>

Stuff about the phocus exhibition:<br>
</font><br>
Entries for the first ever PhoCUS Open Exhibition are warmly invited
from
all members of the university. This is NOT primarily a competition,
although small prizes will be available
to the best entries based upon qualified judges' marks, but a chance to
display some of your work. Everybody who submits work will have it
exhibited and we encourage anybody interested in photography at any
level to
submit something. The only reason your all of your work won't be
exhibited
is if we get so many entries we run out of space but Great Saint Mary's
have
been kind enough to offer us LOADS of space, so hopefully that won't be
a
problem. If the worst should happen and we can't exhibit all of
everybody's
prints we will do our best to display an equal number of each entrant's
prints. So don't worry about wasting your money on printing and
mounting
work that won't be displayed! If you are interested in exhibiting
some
photographs download the exhibition guide from our website <br>
