machine, and several clients. I need to set up a fixed endpoint for the
connection between them. </span></font></p>

to listen on the same port on the same machine but this doesn't work with
Solaris.</span></font></p>

font-family:"Courier New"'>To make the connection I can use omnimapper : </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>the omni mapper listens on a fixed port (iiop:host:xxx),
clients connect to this port </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>and the mapper redirects to the right server. This
works fine.</span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>I would like to avoid the additionnal omnimapper and
get it integrated to my servers.</span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>So the first started server sets the fixed end point
during the corba initialization and all run fine.</span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>The problem occurs if this server stops. A running
one should then listens on the port but </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>it seems it is not possible to set dynamically this
end point to another running server. </span></font></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><font size=2 face="Courier New"><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:"Courier New"'>So clients are no longer able to connect to a server
until a new server is started.</span></font></p>
