[omniORB] shutting down orb

Hi,

I am using omniorb4 on a linux platform and am trying to shutdown my orb.I
have one thread that runs the orb, and I want to have another thread that
initiates a shutdown that will end orb->run() when I want my application to
end. How can I accomplish this? I tried orb->shutdown(false), but nothing
seems to happen.
