[omniORB] omniNames memory usage

I find that my programs that use omniorb allocate 10M chunks of memory.
This seems pretty excessive given what they do. I also ran pmap against
omniNames and found it does the same thing. Does anyone know why this
happens, and if there is a way to reduce the amount of memory used?
