I reply to my post just to bring the solution.
The problem comes from omniORB 4.0.3 as this release doesn't seem to do any
SSL hand-shake in connection, or it doesn't do it correctly.
Anyway, using the 4.0.5 release of omniORB seems to work well (as far as the
outdated certificates are rejected).

Cheers,
Thomas

Objet : ssl_echo example unexpectidly works...

Hi everyone,

I think aI have a little problem with the ssl_echo example.
In fact, for me, it does work, especially if I use the certificates from the
example, which are outdated for years.
I don't think this is a normal situation. So, here's the question: Did I
miss the point ?

I'm using omniORB 4.0.3 with OpenSSL 0.9.7d, and it works the same way on
any Unix (AIX, HP-UX, Digital, Solaris), and on Linux.
Is the problem coming from omniORB or OpenSSL or both ?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.
Cheers,
Thomas
