Hi Frederic,
Win2000, MSCV 7
I do, but as I wrote in my posting just couple of hours ago, I'm getting
unresolved externals.
I just reinstalled cygwin, configuring almost full installation.
Now I have the commands "sort" and "make", which I missed, and in 1-2 hours
I will have some results.
BTW I got the unresolved externals in omniDynamic shared (omniORB403_rt.lib
has been successfully built)
Regards,
Roumen

Subject: [omniORB] OmniORB-4.0.3 and W2k/CYGWIN build

Hello all,

Is there someone that try to build an omniORB-4.0.3 on Windows 2000 or NT4
with CYGWIN ?
I cannot use the binary distrib because I have to rebuild all omni* libs
(DLL and Static) with the -MD{d} option.

I get the following compile erro (second make export)r:

...
making export in src/tool/omniidl/cxx...
make[3]: Entering directory
`/cygdrive/d/dev/omniORB-4.0.3+omniNotify-2.0beta/src/tool/omniidl/cxx'
make[3]: *** No rule to make target
`//d/dev/omniorb-4.0.3+omninotify-2.0beta/include/omniORB4/CORBA_sysdep.h',
needed by `idlc.d'. Stop.

It seems to be linked with CYGWIN or PYTHON.
The path is not well resolved to /cygdrive/d but //d

- omnipython-x86_win32.zip
- omniORB-4.0.3.tar.gz source distribution
        + sets config.mk with platform = x86_nt_4.0
        + sets mk\platforms\x86_nt_4.0.mk with PYTHON =
$(ABSTOP)/$(BINDIR)/omnipython
        + replace all -MT{d} with -MD{d} in win32.mk

Is it possible to make the build process more verbose ?

If someone has experienced such an error,

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
