Hi guys,

OmniEvents and OmniNotify are different projects.
OmniEvents is an implementation of the CORBA EventService,
and OmniNotify is an implementation of the CORBA
NotificationService, which is an extension of the
EventService providing quite a few quality of service
options etc, which the event service lacks.
OmniEvents has moved to SourceForge, and you should
download it from there instead of the AT&T site.
The latest available version is the same as the one
on the AT&T site, but work is being done on porting
it to OmniORB4, the POA mapping and the new build
system. OmniEvents does build on linux using gcc 2.95.3
after a changing a few omniORB3 keys etc. The CVS branch
"omniORB4_port" builds out of the box with gcc 2.95.3
on linux with both omniORB 3 and 4 using the old
build system.
Quite a lot of work is needed on the project, and Paul
and i are a bit bogged down with other obligations
at the moment, but progress is being done;)

Yours sincerely,

Bjorn
