[omniORB] echo doesn't like config file

I'm using omniORB4.0.0. It didn't fully build (omniNames is where it stop)
for me but enough for me to actually compile the echo example.  I will try
some of the suggestions below. Thanks for the feedback.

I assume you are using omniORB 4.0?  If not, that would explain it
since those options were added in 4.0.

What platform are you using?  Do the examples run if you don't have
the config file?  What happens if you run eg1 with a command line
argument of -ORBhelp?
