[omniORB] what does this exception code mean?

hello all,

In the echo/eg3_impl, I get this:

CORBA::SystemException with the code 0x0012FE2C. 

I'm using omniORB4.0.2 prebuild win32 binary. I just can't get the program
to recognize the name service running on my IRIX box. I even tried to run
omniNames locally on the PC. I tried the registry and the omniORB.cfg
pointed by OMNIORB_CONFIG. I even used the same .cfg file I used regularly
on the IRIX box. I added the IOR to the sample.reg and imported it but that
didn't help.

It may not be name service related but I can't tell by the exception above.
Any ideas?
