omniORB (or the OS) uses a different TCP/IP port every time you start your
application. Unfortunately, there is no portable way to tell the ORB to
always use the same TCP/IP port. With omniORB you can pass an
"-ORBpoa_iiop_port" (or "-ORBendPoint" if you are using omniORB 4) argument
to ORB_init to tell it which port to use. Just have a look at how omniNames
does it (and also see
