[omniORB] interprocess comm

Hi all,
I've heard that omniORB 4 incorporates fast methods for interprocess 
calls. As this would be quite important in my ongoing project, I tried 
to download a snapshot but ftp was not "friendly", hanging at 
every "ls" command.
So, what's the status of this interprocess speedup feature at the 
present moment? Are there any omniORB 4 snapshots available for 
download? Any reccommendation for not using it?
