Hi Warren,

 Did you catior the IOR you got from resolving a node in
the name service? NamingContext's are ordinary CORBA object's
and have object references, which can be stringified, which
is, what omniNames does to manage its persistent store.
 There are quite a few advantages to having NamingContexts
as ordinary objects, the most obvious would probably be the
ability to federate name services. In short i am quite sure,
you are actually getting a NamingContext object reference and
not a reference to a child object of the node, you resolved.
