[omniORB] Re: omniORB 3.0.4 on debian, name service runs on p ort 8088

Did you look in the dir /var/omniNames ?
When starting the first time it places its configuration here.
The main reason is to be able to have persistant references, but also the
port number is stored here.
I think it is enough just to stop the service remove all files from the
/var/omniNames directory, and then restart the service.
