[omniORB] Initialization suggestions ...

Greetings,
I'm having a minor problem trying to decide just
how to overcome a somewhat unconventional network
configuration to establish CORBA communications among
platforms.
For the moment, assume the only entities on the
network are Solaris SPARC platforms. Currently, we only
use omniORB for IPC on each platform, stand-alone. The
individual machines are not even NFS'ed together, so
I do not have the convenience of searching some common
mount point for the OMNIORB_CONFIG file. We're even
running an omniNames on each platform.
Each platform _does_ have the facility to get
all the IP addresses of everyone on the network, though,
and everybody has an ftp and telnet client. So, if I
really want to distribute my resources, is my only
recourse to use ftp to look for the omniORB.cfg file
on all the other machines on the network?
Or, is it just 'nuts' to attempt to share
services on a network that does not even share some
file access?

Feel free to 'giggle and point' ... 8-)

Regards,

Richard
