There is no definite time frame at the moment. They certainly won't be
supported in omniORB 4.0.

omniORB 4.0 has non-portable interceptors which would probably be
sufficient. The PI interfaces could be implemented on top of omniORB
4's interceptors.

Again, I believe you could do that using omniORB 4 proprietary
features.

Yes. In fact omniORBpy is by far the most complete implementation of
the Python mapping.

Yes.

> 6. IIOP1.1 support

omniORB 4 will support IIOP 1.1 and 1.2.

Have a look at the omniORB 4 pre-release snapshots and see if it's
suitable for your purposes.
