[omniORB] Unable to resolve RootPOA

Hi,

I have downloaded sources of omniORB a few days ago, and I'm deseperely 
trying to have the ORB work on my Linux distribution:
    Mandrake 8.1
    gcc 3.0.2
    libstdc++ 3.0.2
    Phyton 2.1.1

The problem is that an ORB instance cannot resolve the root POA 
(resolve_initial_references("RootPOA") always fails). I'm getting mad.

Please, if anyone has an idea of what I'm missing, don't hesitate to let 
me know.
