[omniORB] Compiling omniORB on WinNT with gcc

Salutations!

I have a NT-box with the all the Cygwin tools (i.e. all the gnu goodies you
ususally get with Linux, including a bash shell, gcc/g++ etc.) It is basically
the full version of the gnuwin32-lite that you download with omniORB.

Has anybody worked out how to compile the omniORB source code using:
a) the gcc compiler from the bash shell on NT-box
OR
b) the gcc compiler from the NT command prompt?

Why? Because I have existing code that is (reportedly) POSIX.1 compliant and
doesn't compile with the MS VC++ compiler.

TIA.
