[omniORB] need a help

I have downloaded omniORB_302.tar.gz.
 My computer is linux redhat7.0 with gcc-2.96,python-1.5.2,and egcs 6.2-1.1.2.
 I have changed "platform=i586_linux_2.0_glibc2.1_gcc2.96"in config/mk.dir and 
"python=/usr/bin/python" in mk/platform/i586_linux_2.0_glibc2.1_gcc2.96.mk.

 then i make the file successfully.

 The problem is that the examples can not run properly.It is always saying "cat
ch corba::systemexeption".

 Can you tell me why and how to make it run?
