[omniORB] New linux platform in config/config.mk?

Hi,
I have just downloaded the latest omniORB 3.0 sources and noticed that there
is a file i586_linux_2.0_glibc2.1_gcc2.96.mk in mk/platforms directory.
I use gcc 2.96 on my computer (RH 7.1).
Do I set target platform to i586_linux_2.0_glibc2.1_gcc2.96 in config.mk
although it is not specified there?
