[omniORB] moving from 2.8 to 3.0 (BOA -> POA)

Hi folks,
        I would greatly appreciate if someone could provide me with a few
guidelines for porting existing BOA-oriented implementations (2.8) to v 3.0
in POA mode.
Assuming one wishes to keep the same functionality level first, I believe
most of this issue involves replacing inheritance from _sk_xxx classes by
something else, plus server activation concerns (and ties when used). This
for the purpose of smoothly introduce POA on working implementations with a
minimum amount of side-effects; then POA full features can be introduced at
a later time.
