Hi,

I've got a little but annoying problem with omniORB.
There's a 'push consumer' client that listens to a 'push supplier' server
via the CORBA EventService.
The push-supplier [the server] and the EventService process resides on the
same machine which is a Sun box. The server is implemented in ORBacus,
formerly known as omniBroker.
The push-consumer (the client) is on another Sun box, a Sun Solaris 2.6. The
client is implemented in omniORB 2.8.0.
So, we want to use the EventService to receive alarm mesages from the
server. Our problem is the following: if there's no alarm generated for a
certain amount of time (ca. 5 min) the consumer receives a
disconnect_push_consumer message, exactly at the same time when the server
generates the next alarm message, the first one after the silent period.
This problem could not be noticed with a consumer implemented in the same
ORB [ORBacus]and residing on the same machine as the server.
The two machines are on the same LAN, so it's probably NOT a network
phenomenon.
We have tried to move each clients to the other client's machine without
success, due to binary incompatibility problems. Note, that we have only the
client's source code and cannot move the server binaries from the server
machine.

If you have any suggestions please mail me, I'd be very thanksful.

	Thanks in advance,
