[omniORB] assertion failed

While running and debugging berlin, I got this error message:

omniORB: Assertion failed.  This indicates a bug in omniORB.
 file: ../localIdentity.cc
 line: 194
 info: *p

Unfortunately, I can't specify more about the situation.
It appears (from the associated code), that the problem is
related to wrong ref counting (on my part) or something of 
the likes.
However, the correct handling would probably be an exception,
not an internal error :)

PS: I'm running the 3.0 release (manually modified to exclude
    the thread tracing stuff)
