Dear omniEvents Users,

I'm currently looking for people who are prepared to donate some of their
precious time to
test omniEvents 2.0 on their choosen platform.

As of release 2.0 omniEvents is completely persistent, meaning that the
channels,
admin and proxy objects can be re-contacted when the omniEvents process is
re-started.

The new release also supports a new QOS parameter (MaxEventsPerConsumer)
which
can be used to control the number of events buffered by the channel.

omniEvents 2.0 has already been tested with omniORB 2.8.0 on Windows NT 4 /
MSC++ 6.0
and HPUX 10.20 / aCC with some success by myself, however you are welcome to
try it on
these as well.

If you are interested in testing this beta send me an email to
Paul.Nader@alcatel.com.au
specifying which platform you intend using by quoting the entry used in the
omniORB2
config.mk file.

Cheers.
