Windows NT/95 users:
-------------------

I've finished the testing on Windows NT4. If you use Windows NT/95, please
give it a try. I want to know if you have any problem building the snapshot.

Summary of changes since snapshot_971112:
-----------------------------------------

1. The new snapshot now works on Windows NT/95 (see notes below).
2. Merged in updates from AIX port (fully tested).
3. Merged in updates from HPUX port (not fully tested yet).

Notes on building this snapshot on Windows NT/95
------------------------------------------------

Windows NT/95 with MS VC++ 5.0/4.2 is supported.

This distribution requires the gnu-win32 utilities from Cygnus Solutions to
build. The full distribution is freely available at:

    ftp://prep.ai.mit.edu/pub/gnu/cygnus/gnu-win32/latest (6M)

or other mirror sites of the GNU archive.

The toolkit is big and you don't need all of it to compile
omniORB2. Alternatively, you can download a cutdown version from:

   ftp://ftp.orl.co.uk/pub/omniORB/gnu-win32-lite.zip (600K)

The utilities in this version are all you need to build omniORB2.

The README.WIN32 file in the snapshot contains further details.

Debugging on Windows NT/95
--------------------------

This distribution provides a debug version of all the DLLs. Moreover, a
debug version of the binaries can be build and debugged under MS developer
studio. Please refer to README.WIN32 for details.
