I've already got it working once i found out omniNames uses the hostname
of
the local
host.. and i did not set the hostname in my hosts file

This poses another question however, involving glibc2 which is used in
RedHat 5.0
When i recompile version 2.2.0 or any of the snapshots OmniNames will alway

produce
a core dump.

It seems gethostname does not work with the thread library. Is this a know
feature
and how can i still compile and run omniOrb.

Thanks, arjen

I'm using

GCC 2.7.2.3
GLIBC 2.05c
BINUTILS 2.8.1.0.1
