Linux binary + port

Hi,

I've installed the binary linux version of omniOrb
In this version i get the following error when starting omniNames;

BOA_init falied: cannot use port 12345 to accept incoming IIOP calls.
Aborted (core dumped)

I've tried a large number of ports but none seem to work.
I suppose i've some sort of security mechanism at work bu i can't figure
out which

could any1 help?
